I'm pretty sure the mileage was 3.5 miles, but it could have been a bit longer, but it was shy of 4 miles. I guess I need to hunt down my garmin to know for sure.
I got home from work and just did not feel like running today. I had to feed both boys dinner, feed the dog and do a load of laundry as well as a load of dishes.
I told the boys to get everything out of their room and bring it in the living room. We've been needing to give their room a good cleaning for some time. I got their new dressers delivered a few days ago and there was nowhere to walk in their room. So now, they have 4 dressers in there and all their toys are in the family room. Tomorrow's project is to go through half of it. I'll probably have to throw at least half of it away. Well, they're outgrowing a lot of toys, but letting go of stuff is hard for them... I may have to sneak :-)
So I went back and forth at least 10 times about running or not running. I even changed into my pajamas to cook dinner. I made them each a plate of lasagna. Of course I didn't eat that; I had 2 pieces of cheesecake and 6 pieces of shrimp... at 7:20PM. SO 8:00PM rolled around, and this is when I normally run. I changed into my running clothes and was out the door by 8:15PM. I felt the food with every single step I took. the shrimp were sloshing around in my stomach as if I drank too much. I even gagged a little bit on some of the uphills. My first uphill (Glenway) was really slow. I stopped partway up to stretch and then the speed started to come a bit. My first song on the Ipod was "Talk Dirty to Me" by Poison... nothing like a little Brett Michaels to get the blood flowing a bit. OK I had put some new songs on the Ipod today and wanted to listen to them, so I scrolled all over the place finding "Fame" and "Hero" from Footloose. So the last uphill is a killer, I kept speeding up the whole time. I think the last quarter mile *might* have been faster than a 7:00 pace.
All in all the run was good, albeit painful gastro-ly (is that even a word?).
Tomorrow I hope to do 4 miles again and hopefully not eat a bunch of crap to give me all kinds of issues.
:-) Night.
