So I was thinking this morning that I should keep a blog of the next few months and my training progress as I get prepared for my first Marathon in 11 years. I'm running the NYC Marathon on November 7th. After being turned away by the lottery 3 times I was guaranteed an entry this year. Because of this, this will by my most expensive race entry fee of all time! It will liekly be the only time I run this race... I'm not one to pay $700ish in entry fees.
Running wise: I didn't run at all last week. Mostly that's because I'm just lazy. But we've had some issues with JR that have been upsetting and when I get all worked up and upset, I just haven't been able to make myself get out the door.
I have run for 3 straight weeks prior to that. 2 weeks of 3 miles per day and one week of 4 miles per day. So today I'm going to try to crank out 4 miles. I'm a little sore from my miserable few miles at the Flying Pig yesterday, but I need to remember how to push through that kind of pain and just get it done.
I'm going to try to post adaily about my mileage, weight, diet, what's going on at home and work that normally bars me from getting it done.... this blog is to serve as a way of holding me accountable.
